The sword takes a day to complete and is a strong and durable weapon; it is three times more powerful than the Kokiri Sword and will never break, unlike the Razor Sword. Furthermore, this sword will remain with Link should he use the "Song of Time" to travel back to the dawn of the First Day.

The Gilded Sword is the strongest one-handed sword in Majora's Mask, dealing three times the damage of the base Kokiri Sword and one-and-a-half times the damage of the Razor Sword. Link must leave his Kokiri Sword at the smithy for an entire day before the Sword is ready. Once completed, the Razor Sword features a double blade with increased range and double the strength. The Great Fairy SwordUnlike the other swords, it acts as in item and must be placed in a (C) button slot. While it does four times as much damage as the starting sword and 2x as much damage as the Gilded Sword, it is bulky and swings an angle that makes it difficult to control at times.
